Overview

The EnergyBus DeviceWizard is a grafic software tool for the user-friendly configuration, scaling and parameter setting of the EnergyBus Framework. An assistant, that can be used intuitively leads the user through the range of EnergyBus devices like battery, display, drive and also EnergyBus Controller (EBC). Following one defines the features of each component in different interactive masks. Therefore the user does not need to have deeper knowledge of CANopen or the application profile EnergyBus. The time consuming work of becoming acquainted with the communication protocols decreases.

Apart from the configuration of components and microcontrollers with the help of the assistant the EnergyBus DeviceWizard provides an expert mode. CANopen objects can be set into the manufacturer specific segment of the object dicitionary or device profile segment, or they can be imported from COBD or EDS files. CANopen services can be added and additional profiles can be integrated in this mode.

On basis of the entered data the program generates configuration files, application code and technical manuals for the devices that are checked for plausibility. During the generation process the software checks the plausibility of the given information and shows warnings where necessary.
