This webinar hosted by Kvaser will provide an introduction to J1939 software development, including a brief overview of the J1939 standard, a look at the latest development of J1939-22 (incorporating CAN FD). Torsten Gedenk from emotas will provide an introduction of the development tools relevant for building J1939 software and analyzing J1939 networks both for classical CAN and CAN FD.

  • Bryan has extensive experience in SAE J1939 and NMEA2000 and is a member of the SAE Truck Bus Control and Communications Network Committee and Chairman for the SAE J1939 Next Generation Task Force.

  • Torsten Gedenk, Managing Director (emotas embedded communication)
  • Torsten has been developing CAN based applications since 2001 and was speaker at international CAN conferences in 2008, 2017 and 2021. He is a lecturer at various CANopen and J1939 seminars offered by emotas.

<< J1939 remote class (November 18th) <<

The J1939 remote class covers briefly CAN basics and explains the details of J1939 covering both J1939-21 on classical CAN and J1939-22 on CAN FD. The training will take place November 18th 2021 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm CET. The intended target group are engineers or software developers who plan to integrate J1939 into their devices.
