\nCANopen Protocol Stack with improved CAN-FD support<\/strong><\/p>\n

In parallel to the ongoing standardization activities of the use of
\nCAN-FD in CANopen, our CANopen Stack already supports CAN-FD for PDOs.
\nFurther highlights of the Stacks are:
\n – delivery as well-documented ANSI-C source code
\n – mostly MISRA-C compliant
\n – extensions for several profiles (e.g. 401, 402, 418, 447, 454) available
\n – graphical configuration tool included<\/p>\n

The included configuration tool CANopen DeviceDesigner supports users
\nwith the fast and efficient development of CANopen applications.
\nOnly few clicks are needed to create the object dictionary of the device
\nand to specify the object features. The CANopen DeviceDesigner generates
\nthen initializing functions in C.<\/p>\n

Further advantages for our customers arise from he licensing model for
\nthe CANopen stack. License fees are only to be paid once.

\nEnergyBus – transfer of specification to ISO\/IEC
\n<\/strong>
\nEnergyBus is the open standard for electronic components in e-bikes and
\nother light-electric-vehicle (LEV). The communication of the components
\nvia CANopen is defined in the CANopen profile CiA-454.
\nThe CiA specification was handed over to the IEC\/ISO task force
\nTC69\/JPT61851-3 LEV for the further maintenance.<\/p>\n

emotas offers with its EnergyBus LEV Framework a software package
\nthat allows fast and easy implementation of different EnergyBus devices, such
\nas battery, charger, drive, display and EnergyBus controller. The framework
\nprovides all needed CANopen and EnergyBus services. Detailed knowledge of
\nCANopen or EnergyBus is therefore not mandatory for the development of
\ndevices. Ready to use devices for E-bikes can be equipped with EnergyBus
\ncommunication within short time by using the emotas EnergyBus Framework.

\nCiA 309-2-Gateway – Universal Modbus to CANopen Gateway<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Modbus to CANopen Gateway by emotas is compliant to the CiA 309-2
\nspecification. It can be used on every (embedded) Linux with can4linux or
\nSocketCAN. The gateway is also as source code available and can be ported to
\nevery platform with CAN and a TCP\/IP stack. The CANopen component of the
\ngateway is the well-proven emotas CANopen Master Stack.

\nNews from our tools and stacks<\/strong><\/p>\n

The version 1.5 of our CANopen stack now supports
\n– SDO block transfer
\n– indications that signal changes in individual objects.<\/p>\n

The EnergyBus Framework is also available in version 1.5 and allows the
\nusage of the new features of the CANopen stack as well.<\/p>\n

Version 1.3 of the CANopen DeviceExplorers (CDE) provides a great number of
\nadditional features.
\nThese are among others:
\n– SDO Object Monitor with cyclic update of important data
\n– Data plotter for graphical presentations
\n– PDO Tx&Rx tab with interpreted PDO receive and transmit functions
\n– HTML network documentation

The CANinterpreter in version 1.0.3 and the CAN analyser function of the CDE
\noffers following new functions:
\n– Extended CAN\/CANopen filtering\/triggering
\n– Supported Listen-Only modes and cyclic sending directly from hardware
\n– Transmission time stamp directly from hardware (depending on CAN interface)

\nNew partner: Janz Tec AG<\/strong><\/p>\n

emotas and Janz Tec AG started a cooperation. All tools and the CANopen
\nStacks of emotas now support CAN hardware of Janz Tec. emotas extends its
\nproduct portfolio by a number of Janz Tec CAN interfaces.
\nSince 1982 Janz Tec AG has been one of the leading manufacturers of electronic
\nassembly groups and complete industrial computer systems. With this cooperation
\nJanz Tec AG also extends their range of products with the emotas CAN\/CANopen
\ntools.<\/p>\n

\nCAN FD – the further development of the CAN protocol is in the focus of

\nCAN in Automation invites to a CAN\/CANopen update and informs about
\nthe latest developments in CAN and CANopen. Torsten Gedenk of emotas
