\nEtherCAT DeviceDesigner – Product release at the embedded world<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EtherCAT DeviceDesigner tool supports the fast and cost saving design
\nof EtherCAT (CoE) devices. Only some clicks are needed to put the object
\ndictionary together, based on predefined standardized device profiles
\nand already parameterized according to the applications.
\nClearly arranged entry masks simplify the configuration of bit coded values.
\nThe tool creates the object dictionary and initializing functions in C
\n(source and header files) from these values and also a electronic data sheet
\nin XML format (EDS) and a device documentation in HTML format.

\nCANopen Protocol Stacks – Better MISRA-C compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the latest release of the emotas CANopen stacks the MISRA-C compliance
\nhas been further improved. Additionally the micro controllers of the
\nInfineon XMC4000 family are now supported and the configuration of the
\ncontroller using DAVE(tm) 3.1.8 is integrated.<\/p>\n

More highlights of the stacks are:
\n – Delivery in ANSI-C source code
\n – Extension modules for additional profiles available
\n – graphic configuration tool included<\/p>\n

The source code CANopen stack can be applied for any number of projects at
\none site without further royalties.

\nCANopen DataLinker – Network configuration with the CANopen DeviceExplorer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Large CANopen networks with a great number of devices and numerous input
\nand output are often much too complex to handle them without the support of
\npowerful software tools. The new CANopen Process DataLinker, a PlugIn for
\nemotas’ CANopen DeviceExplorer is such tool and gives the necessary support
\nin a project. Linking of producer and consumer data works almost with one
\nclick and the PlugIn creates the configuration for the device communication.
\nThe CANopen Process DataLinker makes the PDO mapping and linking of process
\ndata much easier so that system integrators even without detailed knowledge
\nof CANopen are able to do the configuration of a CANopen network.

\nEnergyBus – EnergyBus Demo- and StarterKit <\/strong><\/p>\n

EnergyBus is an open standard for electronic components in electric bikes
\nand other light electric vehicles (LEV). Besides mechanical elements the
\nCANopen profile CiA-454 describes the communication of the components via
\nCANopen. <\/p>\n

To meet the rising demand for information and knowledge on EnergyBus
\nemotas offers now an EnergyBus StarterKit and a free of charge EnergyBus
\nDemoKit. The EnergyBus StarterKit includes everything needed to get a basic
\nknowledge of EnergyBus and to start first steps of an EnergyBus device
\ndevelopment. The StarterKit includes:
\n– STM32 prototype board
\n– Precompiled EnergyBus Framework
\n– Configuration, simulation and analysis tools
\n– CAN-USB adapter, cable and termination resistor

\nStacks and tools news<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CANopen stack (recent version 1.6.0) supports
\n– extended PDO mapping tests for RWW and RWR.<\/p>\n

The EnergyBus Framework is also in version 1.6.0 available by now.
\nThe use of the new features of the CANopen stack is possible and data
\ntransfer via EBC “data shovel” is integrated by now. <\/p>\n

Version 2.0 of the CANopen DeviceExplorers is presented with a number
\nof improved details. Especially the EnergyBus interpretation and the
\nnew PlugIn CANopen DataLinker for the configuration of complete networks
\nmust be mentioned here. <\/p>\n
