CANopen FD maintains the basic principles of CANopen, but the services are adopted to make full use of the <strong>faster and longer CAN FD messages,<\/strong> that may now have a length of up to 64 bytes and two different bit rates. An arbitration bit rate up to 1 Mbit\/s and a data bit rate up to 8 Mbit\/s. Additionally, the SDO service as been replaced by the more powerful USDA service which also supports broadcast and routing through multiple CANopen FD networks. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Performance comparison<\/h2>\n<p>The video (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VBat6TjupNE\">external Youtube Link<\/a>) shows how the same amount of data is transferred in parallel with 4 different bit rates. This demonstration was realized using the  <a href=\"\/produkte\/canopen-fd-stack\">CANopen FD Stack<\/a> by emotas.
