Industrial Communication for Infineon products

The XMC microcontroller family based on ARM® Cortex™-M cores, which is dedicated to applications in the field of renewable energy, factory and building automation, transportation, logistics and medical equipment, lighting and home appliances may be mentioned. The XMC microcontroller portfolio features a wide range of products from low-end, low-pin-count devices up to advanced solutions for industrial applications that demand energy-efficiency, high quality standards, long product life times and high temperature robustness.

<< CANopen Master/Slave Stack <<

CANopen is the most popular field bus protocol in embedded devices. It is developed and maintained as an open standard by the CAN in Automation users organization.

The CANopen Master/Slave Stack is a software library that provides all communication services according to communication profile CiA301, v4.2 and master features according to CiA302-2. The stack is written in ANSI-C and it is MISRA conform. Using the CANopen Master/Slave Stack by emotas leads to fast and easy development or extension of CANopen conform master applications.
The stack includes all features and services of the CANopen Slave Stack. In addition it is featured with NMT Master functionalities, network wide configuration of CANopen slaves and network management. Several master examples are available to make the first steps in using the complex master functionalities as easy as possible.

CANopen Evaluation

emotas offers evaluation packages for the DAVE™ engineering platform. These are DAVE projects for some of the XMC4000 family members. The projects are intended for programmers to learn the CANopen protocal stack API.

<< J1939 Protocol Stack <<

SAE J1939 is the vehicle bus recommended practice used for communication and diagnostics among vehicle components developed by the SAE.
The emotas J1939 protocol stack allows the fast and straight-forward development of J1939 applications. A comfortable API allows the easy analysis of received data. To avoid a waste of resources the SAE J1939 Stack is to a large extend configurable and scalable.
